Never thought this would have happened!
Ordered this piece on Dec 5th and by March 3rd it was destroyed.
This stand was placed in my bedroom and was used to hold my Sony 26 TV.
I was fast asleep when all of a sudden I was startled awake by loudest
bang I have ever heard. When I sat up in bed and saw pieces of glass rolling off the comforter and saw what caused the noise, I could not believe it.
The middle shelf actually exploded and threw glass shards all over my bedroom. The only thing I can think caused the shelf to do this is my Directv box sat on that shelf. The Directv box hardly puts out any heat but then again this product is supposed to be used this way. Very disappointed that Sharp would put out a product that could have caused serious injuries if someone was standing near the shelf when it happened. (see picture above) ....READ PRODUCT DETAIL
