I bought this because my new LED TV only has a Toslink/Optical out port and my Philips home theater system has a coax in port. Worked great for the first day, then comes day 2 when I turn my TV and receiver on this morning (having left this guy plugged in all night naturally) and I experience about a minute of broken sound and occasional bursts of static noise. Reseting the power on it does the trick right away but it seems to fix itself after about a minute if you have the patience. Did some experimenting, seems to occur even if I only turn off either piece of equipment individually and then turn it back on. So not sure if this is a defect or it just needs time to "sync" or "connect" upon initial start-up. I'll give it some more time and see if I figure out a solution. I bought this one over the cheaper gray box one with hopes of avoiding any issues like this. Oh well. Sounds great after the initial glitches though. ....READ PRODUCT DETAIL ON AMAZON
