This pedal is phenomenal. I've been using it for a few years now and it hasn't worn, broke, or lost functionality even remotely.

While the six knobs (Level, Drive, Bass, Mid, Treble, Scoop) are all common in many boxes, the other functions of this pedal set it apart.

First you have three different styles of distortion to choose - Metal, Pulverize and Insane. "Metal" is good for Rock and Roll, British Rock, and Classic Rock as it doesn't over-distort the guitar but still gives that old rebellious sound from the birth of modern music. "Pulverize" is some-what heavier in sound and is good for hard rock style crunch guitar as well as Alt. Rock, Punk, etc. "Insane", as the name implies, produces maddening gain. It is the heavy metal setting. Thrash, Death/Black Metal, NWOAHM, Industrial Metal, etc. Of course, each of the three settings can be adjusted using the Drive, Scoop, and EQ knobs to extract the exact sound you want.
